Review for The Union Apartments

My two roommates and I were very excited about living in this apartment complex. The apartment manager told us we would have the whole apartment to ourselves and would not need or have a fourth roommate, and we would not have to pay rent while we studied abroad.
Needless to say, she lied. Not only did the apartment we move into have terrible water damage, we also had, lo and behold, a fourth roommate! The apartment manager had specifically told us we did NOT have a fourth roommate. When we confronted her with this, she replied that she thought we all knew each other. Riiiiggghhtt. That's why you told us there were only three of us living there.
Secondly, after we talked to her numerous times about not having to pay rent the months we weren't there, I get a phone call while in Europe from my roommate saying that I had a notice that I hadn't paid my rent. Well, of course I hadn't, I didn't have to, we had sorted all of that out before I left. But apparently, the apartment manager had never heard of such a thing. Apparently, my roommates and I had made this up. Apparently, we had imagined the numerous conversations we had about it.
Pointless to tell, I will be getting the HELL out of the Union the day my contract is over. Do NOT trust anything they say. Get EVERYTHING she promises you in writing, however I would really suggest finding somewhere else to live.
