I've been managing apartments for almost 10 years and I love it! In the 10 years I rarely ever give out notices because when I talk to parents about thier children misbehaving they will usually get thier children to act accordingly.

When "Anonymous" moved in almost a year ago I had received small comments about the children almost immediately. Now when the comments are about her children begging for food, swearing, or just walking into other residents homes regardless of what neighboring parents tell them; as a mother myself I can only think that maybe they are not getting fed or getting any attention at home. "Anonymous" children have begged from me and I have not only gave them food and drinks but I gave them toys my children no longer play with because they never seem to have toys of thier own.

Our pool was re-surfaced and got 2 new drains put in this summer. Other children ran in my office to let me know that "Anonymous'" children were DUMPING mud in the pool. Needless to say it was still opened on time but not before my maintenance had to drain out all the mud & clean out the new drains. I dont know how much $ "Anonymous" realizes that "I" did not charge her for the damage & labor put into fixing that! If you ask me this definately calls for a notice to COMPLY. When that notice was given I think "Anonymous" fails to remember that when she was crying and whining that she cant control her children or that her children do not listen to her, I calmed her down and let her know that they were not being evicted. I went as far as to let her know that I can help HER by addressing her children by talking to them and letting them know how to ACT. She said she was ok with this.

Unfortunately for "Anonymous" the other residents just got fed up with her children. Her 10 year old had a "sex" book that all the little girls told me about. I actually found a composition book that may have been hers. It had no name in it. Oh well, in the trash it went! Another resident said the 8 year old came to her house at 9 in the morning one Saturday and asked for 10 dollars because her mom needed gas money. The resident said she only had a 5 dollar bill and gave it to the little girl. Later that day the resident saw the 8 year old at the Family Dollar by herself buying candy. That same resident said the 8 year old has begged her husband and adult daughter for money too. And that she was sick of it. The 6 year old got into a fight with her friend and was being mean to her. Her friends mom came out and asked the 6 year old to play nicely. The mom said the 6 year old cussed her out and threw a rock at her new car! That was actually the first incident that I had confronted "Anonymous" about. The mother was furious with "Anonymous" and her children.

One night yet another resident heard someone yelling outside her window. She said it sounded like trouble so she quickly went out to see what was going on. She saw "Anonymous" yelling at a 10yr old girl. NOT HER OWN DAUGHTER but someone elses daughter. "Anonymous" was blaming this girl for the reason why they were being evicted. The resident came out of her house and told "Anonymous" that she was not allowed to yell at this girl and that she should talk to her parents if she had a problem with the girl. Of course that resident came to me the next day and when she told me what happend I was so perplexed! I did not tell "Anonymous" once but twice that if she didnt mind me TALKING to her children and addressing thier BAD behavior that I would treat them as I do my own children and she goes off and yells at this girl.

After discussing with my boss about thier situation. Instead of evicting them he decided he would talk to them. I set up the appointment for him to meet with "Anonymous" and her children. All of what we discussed are from WRITTEN complaints from residents that has finally decided to come to me to see what can be done!

As a management company we feel a great responsibility to provide a safe, happy and clean living environment for our residents. (Especially because I live on the property) As a human being the last thing I want is for a family to be homeless because of the lack one has for people around them.

If your looking for an apartment here in the Taylorsville area you will love it here at Lincoln Park Apartments!
