Positive Apartment Reviews and Ratings
Good price for a great location! ( 09/26/2012 )

Hillrise is a great place to live. The new manager does a great job at getting things done in the complex. They usually take care of maintenance requests within a few days. It is not the most updated place but it is a nice amount of apace for the price and you really can't beat such a good location. I have seen a lot of places in the area for this price range and these apartments really are not bad.

The negative reviews for this community were written by the same individual who wishes to remain anonymous. We were able to piece together the clues and discovered that they had been a problem resident from the very beginning. Unfortunately, we had to turn their account over to collections which is why they persist in trying to hurt our reputation.
Having been in business over 40 years, we understand reputation is everything. As stated previously, we are committed to providing our residents with exceptional service. Our valued residents know they can put their complaints in writing to our professional staff and we will resolve their concerns as best we can. However, it is almost impossible to resolve a problem that is posted on a site such as this anonymously. My contact information is provided below.

Scammers! I lived there for more than a year. When I moved in I was informed that the apartment had been vacant for awhile which was apparent by the accumulation of dust on every single surface and the dead bugs all over the ground. I spent a full day cleaning before I could even begin moving my stuff in. Then when I moved in at the tail end of the summer my air conditioner and heater didn't work. It took until the first snow for them to get it working. Over 2 months. Then as soon as the next May rolled around my air conditioner still did not work. It took them another 2 months to get this fixed finally. The hottest summer days were almost over. They did give me a portable electric air conditioner that doubled my electric bill. I asked to have the locks changed half way through my lease and they did so and charged my $50 extra dollars on my next months rent. I also asked them to spray for bugs in July because I was killing more than 4 or 5 quarter sized spiders a day in my apartment. Which once I moved out they charged me $50 to spray for claiming that I must have brought them with me and it could have nothing to do with the 2 acre field less than 100 feet from my apartment windows. Also, the many gaps in my front door where it didn't seal. I could see daylight through the top of my door. Now that I have moved out they charged me $10 a light bulb for 6 light bulbs totaling $60.00. That is extortion! They also charged me for cleaning, I spent 5 hours cleaning when I moved out and guaranteed that place was cleaner when I moved out then it was when I moved in. They also didn't apply my security deposit towards what they were charging me in fees. What they are charging me after I moved out is almost as much as a full months rent there and they are apparently just pocketing my security deposit. Very angry and my lawyer is sure if they try to take me to court they will not be getting away with what they are charging me.

I really enjoyed living at Hillrise Apartments. In fact, I was a long-term resident of 7 years. The manager was nice and helpful and I could get my maintenance requests filled within a few days. I decided to write this review when I was looking for a place closer to work after a job transfer and was curious what others were saying about the complex. It's strange that the other reviews are all anonymous. If other people have had a different experience and wasn't getting their repair requests taken care of, why didn't they contact the health department or better business bureau instead of slandering the owners on this website? Hillrise is also close to ski resorts, shopping and a nice little mexican retaurant next door. Don't trust anonymous reviews.
