Apartment Review for Willow Glen Apartments

Overall, it was ok living here, but I'm glad to be out.

Apparently there are a lot of issues with car break-ins. My husband's car was broken into while we lived there but fortunately nothing was stolen. One of the other tenants mentioned that this happens quite frequently.

The condition of the unit was ok, but not stellar. They had promised a brand new fridge but alas, the fridge we got stuck with was NOT new, and smaller than what we were used to. There was rust in the bathtub and when we didn't use the bath water for a day or so, the water would come out rusty and have to run for a while.

My biggest complaint is the money taken out of our deposit. We cleaned the apartment spotless, but were charged for blinds (which I cleaned myself and were cleaner than when we moved in), fans (again, we cleaned these really well) and the stove racks (cleaned!).

We moved because they were raising our rent at the end of the lease and cutting out the cable (which had previously been included). We saw them advertising units online for cheaper than what they were offering us, and we had paid our rent on time every month and been good tenants. I felt the rent hike was too high, and we didn't love living there, so we up and moved.
