Renting from Breawood is better than living out of a refrigerator box under a viaduct but it has many striking similarities.

For starters, both are cold during winter and hot in the summer. There is little or no insulation in these apartments. Combine that with ill fitted windows, drafty doors and flue that won’t seal and you have a gourmet recipe for heating and cooling the great outdoors. From Nov ’07 through March ’08 we generous donated $180 or more per month to Questars bottom-line in our efforts to keep our domicile at a comfy 65 degrees. This close communion with Mother Nature also allows you to reflect on other aspects of the weather like rain.

Rain tends to be problematic when you live in a box. This is also true for Breawood’s residents occupying the lower level. If you don’t mind swimming in your bedroom then you may enjoy the occasional flood.

Another striking similarity is the opportunity to encounter feral animals. Numerous species of canines and felines freely roam the complex. Their tracks and leavings can be found all over the grounds and your vehicles. Looking out your window in the evening will conjure fond memories of Steve Irwin.

Not to be outdone by the wildlife, the children emerge in packs through the summer months. They regularly perform unique interpretations of Lord of The Flies. Enjoy the antics but do not interrupt or you may find yourself filling the role of piggy.

If you are not yet sold on the charm of this affluent community take a moment to consider the management. Your every need and concern can be addressed by the on-site manager. He or she will take significant amounts of time to consider your needs and concerns. Due to the enormous amount of thought he or she gives each and every concern you can rest assured if your issue is addressed it will not be done in a hasty manner.
