Should we begin with the tiny, cramped, and unheated/air conditioned apartments themselves? With their lockless-windows, concrete walls, and always... er, interesting... neighbors? Enjoy winter living in style, as you freeze to death from a lack of insulation! Enjoy summer living, as a lack of real AC and a steady group of drug-dealing neighbors make your life hell and damage your car and steal anything you're foolish enough to leave outside like, say, a bike!

But WAIT, there's more! Don't forget the slum lords, who charge you fees when THEY fail to perform cleaning checks, never provide maintenance, and lie through their teeth in an attempt to extort more and more cash from you! Did you need emergency maintenance? Too bad! Oh, and we'll probably charge you for that massive leak, as it was obviously your fault and we don't feel like paying for it!
