Review for Northgate Apartments

My wife and I lived in the North building for almost two years. After reading some of the previously posted reviews, I feel it necessary to add my own review to more accurately describe the apartment complex. First of all, keep in mind that most people who take time to post reviews on a website are going to be those which had a negative experience. I will honestly say that the experience my wife and I had was positive overall. Granted, some things mentioned in previous reviews are accurate (the train horns, thefts and vandalism in the parking terrace, etc.) However, I also learned that people have significantly different expereinces depending on which building they live in.

Once again, we lived in the North Building and many of the problems listed only occured in the South Building (the building with the Leasing Office). We had some great neighbors and I believe their overall expereince was also positive. One thing that I must adamantly refute is some of the previous desriptions of the management staff. I NEVER once had a problem contacting or getting help from any of the staff. I was especially impressed by the manager who always remembered my name and made sure that my requests were resolved quickly.

The only other major annoyance of living at Northgate was that the fire alarms would constantly go off during obscure hours of the morning. However, I came to find out that this was a not a problem caused by the fire alarm system, but rather caused by the city water supply (If you don't believe me, just look at the reviews for the Citifront apartments, which are not more that a mile away)

Again, this apartment complex has its problems. I don't know of one that doesn't. But our overall expereince with the place was positive.
