Take The Good With The Bad

I think that some of the other reviewers are being pretty overdramatic with their poor ratings. Believe me, I am very selective when it comes to where I choose to live, and I truly mean it when I say that I have every intention to continue to renew my lease (as long as they do not continue to raise the prices - which is one bad point about these apartments.) Yes, there are a few bad points which are as follows: the apartment was filthy when we moved in, they used to have bimbos working in the leasing office (but as far as I can tell, the no longer work there), it sounds as if there are elephants living above us because of the incredibly thin walls, it sounds like a waterfall is in the walls when the people above us flush the toilet, the hallways somethimes have a bad smell... However, I think that the good aspects of Northgate are enough to overlook the few bad things...The good aspects are: Fantastic downtown location, garage parking (hard to come by in other SLC apartments), elevators, washer/dryer/dishwasher/walk-in-closets in every apartment (very hard to find that combo of ammenitioes in any other SLC apartment), great views, key-access to get into the main doors, work-out center, and during the winter holiday season the leasing office had a free gift-wrapping center set up for the residents (it was actually money saving and time saving). Also, I do not know why other people complain so much about the customer service in the leasing office because the manager knows me by name and is always very polite to me. I don't see any reason to give these apartments a bad review because I searched long and hard to find a suitable apartment before I moved here, and there was literally nothing better in SLC. Seriously, those who complain a lot about Northgate have little reason to do so because there really is no other apartment building in SLC that can compare to the benefits that Northgate has.
