Apartment Reviews for Carrington Square Apartments - Salt Lake City

I've lived at this apartment complex for three years in two different units. I've read some of the other reviews, and find myself agreeing that noise can be heard from other units, but that's to be expected in any complex. This complex is very well taken care of, especially compared to other properties in the area. The apartments are very spacious, and cost less than other properties around here. The staff is very friendly, and the maintenance guys have taken care of anything I have requested. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay at Carrington Square, and would recommend it to any of my friends looking for an apartment.

Carrington Square Apartments will keep most of your deposit regardless of the condition of the unit. Beware of the Lease Initiation Fee! They tell you that it is refunded but it is not! Beware of the "third party vendors" they hire to clean the carpets. They can charge what ever they want and none of it is supervised by the management. Also beware of the management! The staff changes constantly and what one person tells you is not what the next person will tell you. Terms, conditions, and verbal agreements were never consistant. The police were patroling the parking lot all the time at night because of disturbances. And the noise is constant from the street and the train, and the other tenants. Be aware of the date you check in and out and the date you hand in your 30 day notice. They do not keep good records and have charged extra rent for days we no longer lived there. Also be aware of when you transfer the utilities out of your name. They will charge no less than $25 if you transfer the utilities out of your name even if you are no longer living there. Over all, do not rent from this company. Research really well first!

My husband and I lived at another Bach property for almost 2 years and had a wonderful experience. We moved to Carrington square in Nove 08 and since then have been harrased and had the police called on us numerous times. I have 2 young boys and stay at home with them during the day and the downstairs neighbors have come up to complain too many times to count. We are not loud people, but this place is poorly built so you can hear everything above you. Do not move here! The maint is slow to getting to you and things are always going wrong. The office people are nice but not very helpful. Plus, the area is unsafe and low quality. This is NOT an exaggeration. Don't waste your money, go somewhere nicer and safer.
