Apartment Review for Northgate Apartments

We have lived in Northgate Apartments for over a year and have had a decent experience. Our neighbors were a little noisy and the security guard helped on that, we can't hear the train where we are, although others have complained about it.

The complex is reasonably well maintained although the hallways get a little messy at times, and garbage chute is disgusting.

The apartment manager is unbelievably rude. She is completely inflexible, and really condescending. We are model tenants, quiet, clean, and we pay our rent on time. We were out of town for Labor day weekend and paid our rent promptly when we returned only to find a $90 late bill. We tried to discuss it with the management and they were jerks. I understand if they feel they need to stick to a policy but these people need some communication classes. Perhaps they've become jaded by dealing with the many college students moving in. Bottom line: beware of exorbitant late fees, and if they tell you should have been on time because you can easily pay online, note there is either a $4 or $45 fee to pay online depending on how you do it.

If you like being mistreated, and enjoy being treated without respect I highly recommend this complex.
