My overall living experience at Santa Fe has not been terrible but I definitely expected it to be better. When I saw the model room I was quite impressed and expected my apartment to be in somewhat the same condition but it was nothing alike. They told us that we could not view the actual apartment we would be renting until we moved in because of some insurance technicality (which I think is a lie). We still rented the apartment and was completely shocked when the office employee opened the door. It was disgusting. The counters and cupboards were horrific and the carpets nasty.

They take care of the grounds pretty well and the office staff is quite nice for the most part. They have a few activities for the kids if you have any.

They do have night security but is only there for a couple hours a night. There have been several times when people have drove into the complex with their stereos on full blast and made lots of noise while parked outside at 3 in the morning.

If any one of your neighbors smoke, you will be exposed to second-hand smoke. We don't smoke but if you walk into our bathroom, you would swear that we do. We have complained about it and they claim that they can fix the problem but that is a lie. They never did.

It is located in an extremely good location which is one of the only things that we have enjoyed living here. I did feel safe here for the most part and thought that the people around have been courteous but do not feel that Santa Fe is worth the money they charge.

Personally, I wish I spent a little more money and stayed in somewhere a little more exclusive.

I have lived at santa fe going on my 3rd year now! From fall of 2005-present(2007) and i plan on renewing my lease, its a really great place to live. The only problem we have ever had was in our bathroom above the shower there was some mold but they were quick to come in and get rid of it. the maintenance is great, they repsond as quickly as possible. the leasing office is normally pretty good to work with, they did get a new person in there who didnt really have a clue what was going on but that happens at every job when your new. But overall i love living here, its a great atmosphere and a good deal for rent!

I would have stayed if I could but I wanted to move downtown. Right after I moved out, they remodeled the whole place so I'm sure its even better now. It was right off a busy road, but it was really quiet actually. Very clean pools, and rooms. I called for maintenance a few times and they were there in less than 20 minutes. My neighbors were very nice and didn't keep us up. The people below us would play drums sometimes (who does that in an apartment complex?) but it wasn't that bad, walls were thick enough to easy ignore. I loved going to the pool and what not, it had reasonable hours and is open year round! Great place!

I never really had much of a problem at Santa Fe. However, my husband and I tried to avoid anyone in a position of management. Our dishwasher had some off and on problems with the plumbing, and instead of calling management, we decided to just deal with the problem. They always seemed very offstandish, and it seemed easier to avoid dealing with them.
By the way, we lived there from April 2004 till June 2004. I guess this was after the new management took over, so I never knew this fabulous side of Santa Fe.
I loved the location. There is everything you could possibly want within a short distance. It is a beautiful landscaping job for an apartment, and the apartments are nice. Of course, we had a remodeled model. Very nice! I highly recommend those models.
I don't know, I really liked them. I would just make sure to stay unnoticed. I heard all sorts of stories from our neighbors about how terrible the management treated them.
