Review for Millbrook At Mark Center Apartments

The management here (Equity Residential) is probably the worst you will find at any apartment complex - rude, obnoxious, unwilling and unable to offer any assistance whatsoever. Any and all complaints are ignored. Do a Google search for "Equity Residential" and find out for yourself how many times they've been sued in class action lawsuits by their tenants.
Their "billing system" (for water/sewer) is very shady indeed. After living here for several years and consistantly having a water bill of about $25 a month, my latest bill suddenly shot up to over $100! With no additionaly usage from the norm on my part. When questioned with how my water bill could possibly be over $100 all of the sudden, management responds with, "That's what you owe. If you don't pay it, we'll take it out of your security deposit." When I asked management for a detailed bill so I could see where these extra charges were coming from, I was told that there was no detailed billing. Yeah, right. SCAM!
In addition to the horrible management here, there are many temporary tenants here who act like they are in a frat house. Blasting music into the wee hours of the morning every week night. Did I mention the psycho in one of the apartments below mine who used to wake me up at 6:00am several mornings a month, screaming at the top of his lungs at his roommate for an hour on end, slamming doors so hard that it made the walls of MY apartment shake? Oh yeah, wonderful residents here.
Did I mention the constant construction on the buildings and grounds here? I sure have enjoyed being woken up by the sound of chainsaws and air-compressors at 8:00am on Saturdays and hammers banging on Sunday morning.
Do yourself a favor and please forget about renting here. You can do a LOT better for the money.
