Review for Mt. Vernon Square Apartments

I agree with another reviewer regarding the very dirty laundry rooms and the washers and dryers that constantly stay broken. Of course, management doesn't have any control over this as the laundry facilities are leased out and you have to call this Coin Match company which never seems to come out to take care of the broken machines.

The maintainence crew is really slow and they have a bad habit of just coming in your apartment if you aren't home without even leaving a notice that they have been there. Even if you tell them that you want to be home before they come in it doesn't seem to do any good. Several times I have asked to have caulking work done in the bathrooms and it is just done half-way and doesn't even last a week.

It seems like the management staff is only concerned about keeping the outside grounds beautiful so they can bring in most tenants but you only have to take a look at the dirty carpeting in the hallways and the hall lights that go dim half the time and they don't seem to want to do anything about it. They keep saying they're going to replace the carpets in all the buildings but nothing ever comes of it.

For the price that you pay to live in this community, you don't get the quality of service that should go along with it.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy and am looking forward to moving out as soon as my current lease is up.
