Review for The Aspen Apartments

first of all, the building is not in good shape, there is no sound prove walls between units, pretty much you can hear whatever happens next door, esp at night if you know what i mean~~
secondly, Aspen has the worst management ever! those old creepy weman probably have been working there forever and they literally treat tenants like dirt, anything you ake them for help, it always ended up with "you can move out of here", you have to always make sure that you got whatever they say in "written form", otherwise, they'd never admit that they've promised you anything. the classic dialogue is "I've never said that. do you have anything in writing, otherwise, it's not our resposibility~~~" what the F***! I'm not sure what year they've lived in, but in a civilized customer/service-oriented world, you can't stay competitive by telling lies... but again, these might be too sophisticated for those old weman to understand, they've been in that litter retal office for too long and thought they could rule the world~~
besides the management, another worst thing was there was a murder happened in one of the units, a girl was killed while at home, and if you ask them, they would 100% lie that it never happened, it's a safe place to live in...but if you do your research, you can find the case description from alexandria police department.

If you still think you can live here by not bothered by the management, now let's talk about roaches, mice and water bugs~~, what a zoo! on a lucky day, you maybe able to meet with all of these "permanent residents" of the Aspen, yeah, don't be suprised to see mice running around while you are working out, or even in the sauna room!! Speaking of the sauna, it's such a joke that during the time i lived there, they've had the "out of order" notice forever, but for each person who came here to see the apartment, they'd always say :besides the pool, we've got sauna rooms" what a lie!!
the only thing i could speak positive is the rent, yeah, it's hard to get anything cheap in the DC area, but still you'll have to always remember--you get you've paid for!! I'm so glad i'm out of there for a while, and i would never recommend this dump place to anyone!
