Review for The Metropolitan At Alexandria Apartments

Ever since I moved to since community, I was welcomed in with open arms. The staff is polite, professional, and even attractive.
My husbend and I moved here after we retired. We requested an apartment on the 1st floor b/c I am in a wheel chair and my husbend has 2 bad legs, however we we placed on the 4th floor. No problrm, they have elevators. Well from time to time, just about everyday, the elevators stop working. A few days ago, when the elevatots were out once again decided to take the stairs. Now keep in mind he has not walked a stair in 33 years. HE FEEL. Thats right, he feel 3 flights of stairs, luckily he was resqued in about 3 hours. I will not let him attempt that stunt again.
Out front there is a pond used for boating, fishing and ice-skating in the winter. Well the other day my husbend and I were boating, I feel over board. Only proble, I am not much of a swimmer being that my legs don't work and all. As usual, no life guard on duty, however one of the managers saved me. He attempted mouth to mouth, however I was ok and breathing. I am use to it, all these youngs guys always throwing themselves at me.
Parking is great, they have a parking deck. My spot is located on the 1st floor, ajacent to my apartment on the 4th floor. It takes us about an hour to go from the apartment to the car, so you can amagine we do not leave much.
Pets are welcome, and thank God, I do not know what I would do without my 20 cats.
Maintanance is good, they fix the broken stuff within a week or a few.
