We have been living in Crystal Tower's for six years and every day we see the down fall of this apartment. If you have children don’t believe what they tell you about how the kids can play and feel free in the courtyard. They will get sent back up to their apartment. Since management is a big family and take care of each other and not the tenants, some kids will have special privileges over others. Front desk is incompetent most of the time. If you are planning on moving in make sure you find the carriage “hotel style” and hold on to it. Either way, most of the times its not even in the office and you will have to go floor to floor, tower to tower looking for it since the front desk are too lazy to look for it themselves. BS!!! Typical answer “somebody is using it right now.” Expect them to be “using” it for the six hours and till the next day, hint. A certain individual at the front desk needs more training in tact, professionalism, people skills, I could just keep on going. Some residents are amazing as well. Crystal Towers will take any resident theses days so expect a lot of college students shoved in apartments, fraternities getting into fights and using extreme profanity while having barbeques and so on.
Keep in mind that it is an old building. 1960’s A lot of times the AC breaks down, AC floods, and a lot more inconveniences you will have to face. After a couple of years our apartments rug looked like Frankenstein’s head all cut up and patched together after countless water leaks.
Management has internal problems and only care about superficial problems and don’t see the big picture. They only care about the money and not the tenants. Just look at the numbers. How many people out of eighty-six recommend this place? Not too many huh? Another joke is paying utilities. It’s guesstimated. So If you travel for an entire month expect to still pay +/- 134.00 and the other tenant +/- 120.00.
I could just keep going on telling you all over the reason’s why you should greatly consider on whether or not you or your family should move here.
The main concern I have of this building is the lack of security. Today I sat down with a group of senior ladies and asked them if they felt safe, and of course they all said no and that management didn’t know what the hell they are doing. Ladies also said that nothing compared to the excellent management six or seven years ago. This issue was advised to the regional manager the same day and I couldn’t believe the defensive posture she and the other project manager took when this issue was addressed in the meeting. The regional manager said that they are not responsible for security and that it was clearly stated on the lease. She then said that they have deterrent measures for thieves in place. That’s a big joke! There is nothing at all! I filmed a video showing how all the doors around the premise are always open 24/7! I also tried showing her how you don’t need the amazing, 21st century keyless entry to open doors. Most of the doors are broken and have direct access to the emergency stairwell of the apartments many other doors are left open due to the construction, the docking door is always open even though its not being used. The regional managers comment to this was that it is the tenants fault. The other project manager had the liberty to say, “ what do you expect? It’s a 60’s building.” Not even a minute into the video the regional manager said that she would not watch the video. Why not? So I got upset started to raise my voice a little just to be kicked out. These doors have been opened to the public for months! How long does it take to fix doors these days? Surveillance cameras don’t work and if they do it’s never monitored. Great deterrent measures don’t you think? To make things worse while filming all of this the woman at the front desk was sound asleep at her desk with the main door to the building unsecured. I guess because of these deterrent measures a pizza delivery man was mugged at gun point in the building and never caught. The best incident was how an apartment was stolen without forced entry involved. So I guess we are paying 1.800,00+ a month to have unsecured and broken doors, poor management, rude front desk individuals, people that aren’t residents of Crystal Towers or the Lofts using our pool and gym facilities….etc This place needs a MAJOR change or things will just keep getting worst month by month. Well I hope this was a little informative for future residents and present tenants. Management good job on sugar coating everything that takes place at Crystal Towers!!! Ooops, I dropped some cake, let me swipe it under the rug.
