Review for Rosslyn Heights Apartments

The best thing you can get here is parking, but its not covered, so if you dont mind washing your car 2/3 times a week or driving with tree and bird debree all week, your search ends here.

The call-box for deliveries/friends does not work, so keep your cell on you if you ever expect someone.

The appartment appears to be somewhat nice, but its hard to get past the parke' flooring and the disgusting, low run, laundry facilities that supply 4 washers and 4 dryers(that hardly dry 4 t-shirts) for about 50 units....which means you will be doing laundry at odd hours or somewhere else.

Our unit was privately owned, so when i was told that there was a dishwasher, I was excited but learned on day one that it is on wheels and has to be connected to the faucet of the sink...a minor setback for a terrible machine from the 70's. He did a good job of skimming over that in the walk through.

The neighbors are not loud, but inconsiderate. They constanly bang on the floor to tell us in their own way to turn down the TV that is not playing too loud, which tells me the walls are thin. I can hear other neighbors with loud bass.

With all the exposed wires, cracked paint, and lack of Toilet Paper holders, this place isnt too bad if you are just out of college. It is in a great location but head west a few blocks and you might remember why you locked your door.

I am glad that I signed a 6 mo. lease, because its getting hot here, and the entire building is supposedly controlled, so the A/C doesnt come on till they say so. We had problems controlling out heat in the winter, it would get up to 80 in our place with the a/c vents running regular air and the heat coils turned off. So you say, why not open a window?, i did and got sick with and had to miss 4 days of work.

Make sure you document your walk through, I did. There is no way in hell my deposit is paying for this place to be refurbished.

Head towards clarendon or fairfax for some better places. Or drop a little more and live somewhere with a person at a front desk to accecpt any packages.

i give this place a 3 out of ten for location, location, and ....loaction.
