The good: Excellent location - easy access to downtown, close to Courthouse, Clarendon, and Ballston. Large dogs welcome. Other residents are friendly. The bad: Complete morons in the leasing office. Parking is limited; extra lots behind buildings are poorly lit and feel unsafe. Built in 1941 and feels like it. Gas range has two settings: high and off (because it's that old). Mold is a big problem. Maintenance takes major shortcuts with repairs and repaints to cover structural problems. Owners not likely to upgrade - I don't believe they'd pass building inspection without significant expenditures to bring systems up to code.
