The leasing agents (including the manager) lied to us about multiple issues to get me and my roommate to sign a lease. The apartment is loud with our wonderful neighbor's piano playing most of the day and the obnoxious baby that cries and screams all hours of the day. I have tried to say something but they don't understand English. The great fitness center has ONE working treadmill and an old universal machine. The leasing manager assured me that the "new" fitness center would be completed by the end of November 2005. Well it is June 7, 2006, and work has not even begun. I almost forgot, I have had to call the emergency number (which is just an answering service) five times in the past six months because when I woke up (5:30AM) there was NO HOT WATER. And the hot water wasn't turned on for about an hour. Also, on the hottest day of 2006 so far, the air conditioner conveniently broke. We didn't get cool air until the next afternoon. Nothing like sleeping in an apartment that is 86 degrees. I would hate to forget the wonderful dents and scratches in my car thanks to the spectacular individuals who live here and have absolutely no courtesy for other people. I have lived in two apartments in Crystal City and after this lease I am moving back. If you decide to live here, best of luck to you because you will need it.
