Bad Facility, Terrible Managers

I couldn't agree more with the previous negative review written about this terrible apartment complex. I've dealt with every problem specified, and I cannot believe this place is still in business. If you're leaning towards it because of the reasonable rent prices, believe me, you pay to live here in many, many other ways. I am not a complainer by nature but this experience has made me so mad that I want to make it my personal mission to convince everyone I can to never rent here, please, you WILL REGRET IT.

#1: The "gated parking" has been broken for 7 of the 8 months I have lived here. You pay extra for a parking pass, however they somehow cannot afford to keep the gates in working order and any time I have inquired about this they always angrily insist that the "parts have been ordered". This may be true if they are manufactured on Mars and shipped on a skateboard. Otherwise I think they are just lazy and cheap.

#2: Water pressure goes out in the morning very frequently. That's right. You get up for work to shower at 7:30 and all the sudden the pipes begin to sputter and then there is not a drop of water from any outlet in the entire apartment building. If you have never had to figure out how the hell you are supposed to get the shampoo out of your hair before work when there is no water and you can't be late because you have a presentation, I suggest living here so that you can add a new element of stress to your life. (The answer was about 4 bottles of spring water over the head and into the sink, and then still soapy all day. Lovely.) Oh, and it's "after hours" until about 9:30am at this place, so don't expect any help if you call them about it.

#3: The "security guards" are always MIA. I wish they would give them a TV to watch or allow them to read on duty so maybe they would stay behind the desk for a change. Last year my friend in the building really did have an emergency and went to grab a security guard who again, was not there.

#4: The way the management treats you if you complain is so rude it is comical. They seem to personalize every issue and dismiss any complaints as ignorant. They are angry and rude, and the "manager" Lisa is probably the worst of all. I called to complain when a friend of mine's car was towed even though they had a valid parking pass from the office and she flat out told me that my opinion of the parking system did not matter. Great way to keep customer's. She snidely said, "If you have frequent guests maybe you should just add them to your lease so then they can buy a parking pass." Great idea, genius. We'll put all my friends on the lease.

#5: The AC is ALWAYS out. If you're from this area you know it was approaching 90 degrees through most of October this year. Well, the AC stopped working and was never fixed around September 20. The heat was stifling and fans can do little to cool the hot, muggy Virginia air. No one cares if you complain, and they are always "working on it."

I could sit here all day and rail on the shortcomings of this apartment. Just please heed my advice and do not listen to their -------- about adding "$20 million in renovations" and showing you better floorplans. The physical apartments are a decent size, but the people and the problems don't make it worthwhile. I'd rather live in a smaller, more accommodating facility.
