I've lived at Westover for 3 years and absolutly love it!. It feels like a townhouse, rather than an apt. Most units are 2 levels. I have a front and back door and it helps create a nice sense of home and is a cool feature.
The windows are big, clean and let in a lot of light. Westover is an older complex but they have done a great job of restoring it and it has a lot of charm!. Parkay hard wood floors everywhere. Tons of storage (I have under the stairs, a deep hall closet upstairs and a linen closet upstairs) The bathroom is tight, but nice. Has a nice 50's feel with neurtral tones. It also has a window in it which is super!
The bedroom is HUGE!...My only complaint about the bedroom is that the walk-in closet is a bit small, but I made additional hangin space with some chains and a dowl. I also can use the hall closet for out-of-season clothes.
The kitchen could use some work...new cabinates and floor. But it cleans up well. I love having a dishwasher too!. Not a lot of cabinet space, but I have some bakers racks that do a nice job.
I plant flowers and grow tomatos and pepers and it's never been a problem. It's quiet and the neighbors are super nice. Mgm't comes quick if you have problems. There is a small "town center" about 50 yards with a bank, post office, 7-11, barber, CVS, mom/pop grocery, hardwar store and shops. Very cute!. Metro bus comes ever 20 min.
My only complains are that there is no central AC, so you have to use a window unit and they don't allow dogs.
I highly recomend...I pay $805 for a 1 bed and you can't find anything like that in Arl, FFX or DC. It's fantastic!
