Okay, it's not the best place you could rent but for the discounted government price we are getting the two bedroom townhouse we have it's great. We were lucky to get an end unit TH so we don't hear our neighbors at all. And the courtyard is usually very quiet with no after hours noise so we are happy with that. Parking isn't bad and no matter when I've come home I've always been able to get a spot reasonably close to my house. <P>
CONS: Okay, there is a bad side. The closets are waaaaaaaaay too small and there aren't enough of them. Also I don't like the trash policy. You are supposed to put your trash out front of your door the morning of or the evening before a trash day but people dump their trash anytime they want so it looks kind of ghetto. Laundry is also bad because even though there is a laundry room in every courtyard it's small, most of the time some of the machines aren't working and it's always occupied. I end up taking my laundry off site to wash. <P>
So it's not the best place but where in Arlington can you find a place this cheap with all the utilities included? <P>

I lived here for five years from 2000-2005 and the best thing here is the price. It was / is about 800 for a one bedroom with all utilities. They are pretty good sized apartments and are very safe and quiet. Also close to shopping. The problems: Number one they are very old, some were built in the 1930s. They can be run down and rely on very old air conditioners and radiant heat. The biggest issue is roaches. Chances are you will have them and possibly LOTS of them. Basically managment just does enough to keep these places going, and in some parts the grounds are really bad. It is also not on a metro line. If you want to save money, this is a good place, but be aware of the problems here. <P>

I've lived here for 9 months now. The apts are pretty decent for the price. you pay about $800 for a 1br with all utils included and we get got a nice special deal for the first 3 months we lived here. rented here while i was short on $$, now i have a full time job so I am moving on. place is pretty safe- lots of arlington PD live around here so somone would be stupid to commit a crime here. maintainence is good, they are pretty quick to respond(same or next day) the two times we called them and they fixed the problem. The apts are a little old so some of them need maintainence. and i did not have a problem wit either mice/rodents or any other forms of wildlife. the floors are hardwood, the heater/AC unit was old and noisy, no microwave and i did not love any of that. <P>
