Love it. ( over a year ago )

I really like living in this community. Its extremely dog friendly and I feel safe walking around late at night. Parking may be more difficult if you come home after 10, but usually even my guests can always find a spot. I have only had one or two problems in my apartment and they were usually fixed that day. They would always leave me a detailed note of what the problem was, and what they did to fix it (which was nice too). Other than just being older buildings, I think its really great.

this complex is older but if you want to be able to walk to the metro and all the night life in the area you have two choices, pay $2000 for a tiny one bedroom apartment in a newer high rise or pay $800 less a month and live in a older building. You make the choice...

Money doesn't matter so I'm not sure if it's expensive (I travel for work). There was parking in the lot behind the complex that I had to use quite a bit, I don't think every building cluster has this extra parking so I could see how parking could be an issue. It could be newer or cleaner but I didn't find it all that bad. Maintenance was actually very very fast whenever I called anything in, they did have to come out a couple of times when the sink drain wasn't working though. Front desk was always very helpful in my opinion. All in all it's not perfect but I enjoyed living here. I had a 2nd floor unit, basement might suck.

Great spaces for much less than surrounding apartments in walking distance to metro! Tucked behind surrounding neighborhoods, Sheffield Court gives alittle relief from highway and city noise. Older complex with alot of character! Many tenants that have lived here for years! My apartment is great! The appliances are alittle out of date but work fine! I rarely have any complaints about noise. I have two large dogs that are perfectly acceptable here, I even bring them into the leasing building. Staff is really friendly, they serve coffee every morning and have gone out of their way a few times to help me. Sheffield Court has a pretty nice pool and gym. Parking is the only major concern I have, but as long as you're home at a decent hour you're fine! They even have a Arlington Police officer as a resident!

I used to be able to rent this apt complex to friends as i have in the past but the past year it's went downhill. The office staff is not as friendly and not as accommodating. The price has went up quite a bit for quite a mediocre apt. The parking situation has never gotten better and I've been here 5 years now. I can't believe I've been here that long but it's only because I'm lazy to move. I'm definitely moving in a few months when my lease is up. The clubhouse was renovated a few years ago but now has really been rundown to the ground. The pool is irritating because they require you to pay for your guests (at least they did last year). I find this really ridiculous since it's our pool, we should at least be able to bring a single guest with us.

I've lived here for a couple years, and overall my experience has been ok. I've never, ever seen a mouse, but more than a few spiders and other crawly things.

I live fairly close to the office, so I've always felt safe, and never had any security issues (I would not feel safe living close to the alleys though...lots of shady people take shortcuts through the alleys at night). Yes, the parking is ridiculous (not enough spaces). It's pretty quiet in my building, so I can't complain about noise. I never hear any big, loud parties or music, because it's mostly young professionals living here (I never see kids, but tons & tons of dogs).

I've only had to have a couple things fixed by maintenance and I would say they were average. The office staff is ok, but nothing special. I notice a decent amount of staff turnover, so that could be a bad sign.

Overally, I would rate my living experience here as average, and no major problems. However, after reading all of the bad experiences of others on this board, I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend. This is a really old complex and only getting older (actually one of the maintenance guys told me a long time ago that the place just gets patched up and is really falling apart).

Overall I liked Sheffield Court but the parking there is HORRIBLE. There is never a spot after 8pm. Also, I credit many dents and scratches my car has to their inadequate parking.

The apartments are pretty nice, very pet friendly. However, I have lived there for almost 3 years and the office staff has never improved. They are not very professional and usually very unorganized. It's nearly impossible to get a real person on the phone when you call the office. I recently had to deal w/ the office manager who was so rude. I am not planning on re-signing my lease there when it expires in a few months.

The apartments are old but are renovated nice. The rent is a little pricey, it could be cheaper, but the clubhouse and activities are fun.
