Review for Ivystone Apartments

We'd checked out a lot of places, and for the price, value, and safety, this was really the best place we found.

Pros:
1) The office staff are nice and seem to care.
2) Parking is good, never a problem.
3) Places look nice.
4) We've met our surrounding neighbors and everybody seems alright: professionals, non, military, etc.
5) No bugs, just daddy long legs (but not enough to be an issue).
6) Big dogs ARE allowed (fee of course though).
7) Close to EVERYTHING: school, stores, gas stations, Gyms, Fire Department, Police Department, Restaurants, Library, Post Office, banks, I-64, a church with a skate park, etc.
8) Kids playing (evidence of safe area)
9) Storage (for an extra fee though).
10) It's also under new management, so the really bad reviews you may read from last year or later may be out of date.
11) Cable-ready.
12) No income restrictions.
13) Heat works well.
14) Easy to move into.

Cons:
1) Maintenance...it takes a LOT of calling the office and patience if you need something repaired, which is odd because the maintenance guy lives on site (a supposed pro when looking at the site).
2) You'll notice cracks in the walls around the corners.
3) Not much storage space in apartments
4) Woods in the area seems to be dog's bathroom...I see owners walking their dogs between the buildings, but returning without bags. Unfortunately, this is also a problem for yards if you live on the first floor.

Overall though, like I said, it was really the best place we found.
