Review for Kingsbridge Apt Apartments

WOW! I now live roughly 5 miles from this place...I will tell you its the best move I've ever made! Kingsbridge was an awful place to live for both my husband and I. 1st of all we moved into what appeared to be a clean apt. Upon further inspection we discoverd the furnace room was gross and looking in the corners was a bad idea as well. Within a day we had roaches crawling on our walls and getting into our cat food. Now mind you I'm from Florida and roaches are common. I believe this may be due to the trash being set on the lawn in front of our apts. Yes they pick it up 3 times a week but people put it out way to early and you almost always have to walk by or look at trash. The walls here are very thin as I could hear my neighbor even talking on his phone. Maint. was fine except twice they left my door unlocked all day until I got home. We were friends with our neighbors and we all hated this place. To top it off my husband and myself (even our 2 cats) had breathing trouble. We asked for a mold inspection. They told us no problems in that area. We had such breathing problems and we could see mold growing through our walls (they were turning yellow). We contacted the city inspector to come out as you have that right as a renter. Our apt. was so covered in mold that the city report came back with several types to include black mold. You should see our pictures (mold growing on top of mold) ....Our neighbors 2 small children also were going to doctor constantly with breathing issues. There were no vents in the roof..this means that all the vents including shower led to the attic with no escape. Talk about harboring moisture!! They ended up tearing the roof off of that row of apts. They had several Kingsbridge reps coming into our apt. over and over. They even went into the attic and stirred the mold up (dropping it all over our floor...leaving it for us to clean up). They then gave us 3 whopping days to pack up and move in the middle of the week to another apt. in the complex. We asked to be let out of our lease...considering they told us there was no mold upon Kingsbridge 1st inspection and we are good record keepers they complied. Needless to say I would never recommend living there. Some things were ok but the bad far out weighed the good. This is a very true review please take into consideration before renting here. I wouldn't be wasting my time to lie!! Thanks
