Review for Kingsbridge Apt Apartments

Kingsbridge management frequently violates Virginia Landlord & Tenant Act by entering apartments without the required 24 hours notice stated by law for non-emergency maintenance. Staff frequently lie about things which would affect the security of your belongings, or lease term agreements. Ie: I was told by Lisa Johnson (“manager”) face-to-face that when the doors are painted (and left open to dry) that she watches them personally. I came home to find my door open, observed keys placed on the sidewalk in front of each door that was open, and no one watching them. Twenty minutes passed before the contractor showed up. The majority of the clientele belong on Jerry Springer and there are frequent confrontations to which law enforcement is called. The two neighbors I had directly below and also below and to the side yelled, screamed, and banged at ALL hours of the night to the point I did not get a decent night’s sleep for a period exceeding three weeks. A frequent scent of marijuana can be smelled outside and used needles and crack pipes are common to come across (DON’T WALK BARE FOOT!) A Chesapeake police officer lived directly across the street in another unit and could be observed in plain clothes misappropriating the use of his city issued police car for personal errands, such as transporting a lawn mower, going shopping, etc. He was also frequently observed drinking to excess outside with other “Jerry Springlets”, and he would take time out his busy social drinking schedule to write $200 tickets while off duty for cars that were parked on newly painted yellow curbs (fire lanes) because the parking there is sub-adequate.
BE WARNED: Kingsbridge apartments is not the place you want to live even given the reasonable rent, convenient location, and apparent outward cleanliness.
