Review for Wellington At Western Branch Apts Apartments

The biggest mistake i made when apartment hunting is not taking these revews seriously. These apartments are horrible. i couldnt even stay here for the lease term of 1 yr. Noise is terrible, the tenants above me were awake 24 hrs and when they walked around their apartment it sounded like they were going to come through the celiling due to poor insulation. I could also hear when my neighbors used the bathroom or blew their nose. People are not friendly. Every week i would have to fight with the other teneants for the use of the washer and dryer. (1 washer/dryer per 8 units) Maintance sucks and they dont notify you that they are coming or that they have been there. I was in the shower one day they came and they just walked in, another day i came home to find my door wide open and maintace in the back of the apartment. Anyone could have walked right in and made off with my belongings. The workmanship is crappy too. The doors dont close all the way and it feels like you could break them right off the hinges. Trash is all over the place from the dumpsters, and smokers who dont want to stand in the cold or rain smoke inside the building. I've lived in Western Branch my whole life and i have never felt more in danger than when i lived at these apartments. Theft is common, people lurking around and going through the parking lots looking at cars. Drug deals and use are very evident. But the worst day was when i came out of my apartment one morning and saw a teenage boy beating a small girl in the laundry room 2 feet away. When i yelled at him to stop he started walking towards me. I called the poilce and the apartment complex. No follow ups were made by the rental office. This is an absolutly horrible place to live!! DOnt make the same mistake i did!!!!
