Illegal Business Practices!!!!

Rented: From 2004 To 2006

1. Heater broke in January and Property Manager let us go for a week without heat. It wasn't until I threatened to call housing authorities that she sent maintenance.

2. It is STATE LAW that security deposits earn interest after 13 months of residing in your apartment. We lived there for three years and SL NUSBAUM did not set our deposit to escrow to collect interest. After numerous letters, nothing has ever been done to rectify this situation.

3. You are billed for gas usage on the 1st of the month. The bill isn't sent out until the 15th of the same month. If you don't pay the amount due on the 1st, you are penalized for late rent payment.

4. Though SL NUSBAUM did quarterly safety checks, we went 6 months without a smoke detector. After complaining, they left one on our doorstep for us to install ourselves.

5. Management has caller ID. If you need a repair and have requested one, they will not pick up the phone. I have seen this with my own eyes.
