While the apartment is nothing fancy, its perfectly fine and in a great location. 7 minutes from DC on the metro and near superfun Clarendon nightlight. Tons of young people live around here.

Their apartments are nasty they dont maintaine then, they got roaches any type of animals ... you caN SEE...

S&S manage lots of properties in Northern VA. I went to look at some of their other properties and they seemed to be in horrible condition, and looked like slums. However, it was obvious to my eye that it wasn't anyplace I wanted to live, and I don't see how anyone would be surprised if they ended up unhappy. I ended up renting an apartment in their Westover Hills property, and so far (1 year) this is the best rental experience I have had. Yes, the apartment is small and old, but the few items I asked to have repaired prior to my move in were done. The apartment was clean and everything was in working order. The two times I have had to call for maintenance, I have received same day service and the problem was corrected on the same visit. Westover Hills is in a great neighborhood, the building is quiet, and I never feel unsafe. There is plenty of parking, myself and any guests always find parking on the same block as my building. All my neighbors are friendly and considerate.

My suggestion, if you are considering renting from S&S, is to go look at the entire property before you move in. It should be readily apparent whether its a good one or not.

I find that the cheap rental price with most utilities included is a trade-off you have decide is worth it over the "undesirables" (i.e. roaches, filthy carpet, and leaky ceiling). My place did have new appliances (a plus) and the kitchen is a decent size. The management keep to themselves and respond very slow to problems.

I have lived in this apartment complex for four years. I find the place very convenient and safe. Rent is reasonable, however, the problem as I see it is not management, it is tenants. littering of cans, papers, empty beer bottles and you name it is basically done by some tenants who bring in their cultures with them. Management tries their best to keep the environment clean and habitable. As repair of anything that goes wrong in an apartment, they do it promptly.

I live at churchill apartments. Management has their offices here. I like my place. I feel very safe and repairs are done the same day or the next day. They are working on the bldg. and I have no problem here and the rent is probably the cheapest in the area. Some people complain but I don't have their issues...I would rent here again <P>
