Apartment Review for Somerset Park

We've lived for 2 years in a third floor apartment, and are renewing for a 3rd year. The 3rd floor apartments are spacious and well-laid out with cathedral ceilings and a fireplace. We've never had any real issues with maintenance or management. When we had a problem with our fridge, they came quickly and properly fixed it. We improperly received a letter one month that we had not paid our rent, but when we called they promptly looked into it and assured us that there was no problem. The fitness center is quite nice, with TVs on the elliptical machines, a bowflex, and a weight bench. It isn't a full gym, but there is 24 hour access and it is never full. It is a good replacement for a gym membership if you do more casual workouts. The pond is beautiful, and parking is never a problem. We have a view to the woods and often see dear running by.

I can never hear anything from the apartment next door other than the opening and closing of the door. The only noise issue I have had is the construction on Battlefield Parkway. This can be quite an annoyance when they are working early in the morning, but it seems they are mostly finished with this construction so that should no longer be a problem for those whose apartments are on that side. Overall, we've been very pleased with the community and the location. The only major problems I can see are lack of a pool and poor quality postal service. As we are on the 3rd floor, we have never experienced the pest problems that those on the 1st floor complained of. I highly recommend the 3rd floor apartments. When we were looking around after the first year to see if we could find a better price, another apartment manager actually told us she was in awe of the deal we were getting and they could not come anywhere close to matching that. We couldn't find another place in Leesburg that compared.
