I have lived at these apartments for a year and a half and absolutely hate it.
Parking - There aren't even enough spots to park in for people that pay (on the lease). The visitor parking is the same, gets full fast. They have a deal with a towing company and they make sure to check and tow very often. My moms car was towed 3x since I lived here and my friends 2x.
Security - Ha, what a joke. My friends car was broken into and several hundred in stereo equipment was stolen. 6 months after moving in there was a shootout within 50 feet of the rear of my apartment. The parking lots are not very well lit either, so ideal for breaking into cars.
Upkeep - This place looks ghetto as hell. They did some renovation work a few months ago and repainted all the doors. Put it this way, the doors are black, green, and blue, and in no particular order. And my neighbors throw there freaking trash on the ground like it's nothing. I have candy wrappers and junk around my doorstep almost daily.
People - I do not like most of the people that live here. 90% of the people that do live here are of Hispanic descent (not that I'm racist, but wtf) and I would bet money on at least 25% of them being illegal immegrants. Kinda hard to find a nice area, 6 illegal immegrants making tax free money will have more money to find an apartment than 2 honest people making a decent salary. Not to mention if there weren't 6 people in each apartment, finding a parking spot wouldn't be so hard ;-). And my neighbors both play music extremly loud. The first week we were here my sister woke up to bass through the wall.
Maintanence - What a joke. When I moved in my sink was already clogged. In the first month I had to call them 3x. They had the nerve to tell ask me if I was putting food down my sink, wtf. And each call took a followup call to get the maintanence to come. Finally on the 3rd call they snaked my drain and realized that it was solid clogged inside. They had to replace the pipe completly. My AC went out last summer and they told me since it wasn't above 80 degrees in the apartment that it wasn't an emergency. A friend had his AC go out this summer. He called them and the guy came out to fix it. My friend told him he would be gone till Monday, so the guy didn't have to stop what he was doing right then, just be sure it was done when he got home Monday. He got home Monday night and his apartment was in the 90s. The maintenance man said he would be over in a minute, never showed that night.
Office - Most of these people are stupid and will give you wrong prices on things. I'd made a common mistake with my checkbook (admit that was my fault) and bounced my rent check (only time I had any problems with that). I noticed it before they did and gave them another check to cover the full rent. And they of course charged me 10% of my rent for being late as the check (that didn't bounce) was turning in on the 6th. Then 3 days later I get a notice on my door that they are taking me to court if I don't pay my rent by 5pm. I call and they didn't bother to tell me that I needed a money order (when I handed her a check). Even when they found my check (their fault for letting me give it to them and not a money order), I was told I had to pay it that day or be charged court fees (although they didn't tell me I needed a money order and not a check).
Don't move here.
