Me and my husband signed a one-year lease since December 2006, and we have been facing idiotic problems that could have been fixed with a little foresight and presence of mind. First our townhome was infested with FLEAS, and the exterminator was not sent until five months of complaints. I still have the scars to prove this. Next, the parking decal requirement changes without any notification and my car gets towed after visiting the office when I was discussing changing the duration of the lease for the next year. Basically, there is no organized way (i.e. send e-mails or newsletters sent in the mail) of notifying rent-paying occupants of such changes other than leaving taped notices in the mailbox area, which anyone has access to and may tear off or that may fall off on a windy day. Thus, the office assumes no responsibility upon themselves, although we have been diligent about checking such notices when we see them, and paying any hikes in the water bills. They also advertise the Tennis Court as part of their amenities, however, access to the courts is limited, and requires two people (who supervise & maintain the courts) to be notified if you ever need to play. I would never recommend the apartment complex for anyone who would like to live among sane people, and people who realize the need for accountability.
