Review for Tuckernuck Trail Apartments

My apartment was burglarized during the day, by kicking patio door in. Could see after the fact how short the screws were which held the deadbolt lock. They barely made it into the casing, much less the door frame.
Poor lighting. At night its a bit scary because there are woods facing my apartment.
The sidewalk in front of my apartment floods everytime it rains. And when it rains a lot, it becomes a lake, and you can't get to your apartment without getting soaking wet and muddy.
Although they advertise as energy efficient, it is poorly insulated. No weatherstripping on doors.
The parent company, King Properties are hideous. Because of above burglary, and therefore short term issues at my bank, there was a problem with my check (I had to switch accounts). I always pay ahead of time, so they could've notified me in plenty of time that there was problem with my check. But they waited a week before they mailed a letter to me, and gave me less than 2 working days to get a certified check to personally carry to their office. I have never been late on a payment, but they didn't care. Over $100.00 in penalties and fees.
This complex not recommended. However, if you must...be sure that EVERYTHING you are told at the beginning is in writing, they "tell" you of deals you'll get, then go back on what they say. Also, if you get any apartment "around the back" get a better deal on the rent. "Around the back" is unsafe, and a major inconvenience. You are nowhere near you vehicle, so for example a simple task like grocery shopping is a major problem carrying groceries in.
