Apartment Reviews for Chamberlayne Gardens Apartments - Richmond

I am going to hand in my application tomorrow. Ive seen the apartment that they are going to give me and i actually like it. Granted the neighborhood is nowhere to raise a child. Stick to youself and shoud be fine.

I have lived here for almost a year. I have seen improvements in the property and management. Chamberlayne is an affordable place to live and the staff and maintenance are friendly and respond quickly to request. I would recommend them to a friend and with a little community support we can make this complex even nicer.

I must have lucked up too like a previous reviewer wrote. I lived in a great building with nice quiet neighbors. In the summer people in other buildings close by threw loud parties that went well on into the night. We decided to move after living there for 13months when there was a shoot out in front of our window, my neighbors car window was shattered and some people even said bullets went through there walls and windows. Ive never been so scared in my life. There was also other issues like the trash not getting picked up for a month at a time and hot water going out for days and when you would call about you get an attitude like you are inconvenient to them. They cleaned the halls but with dirty mop water so it smelled. It snowed shortly after we moved in and the gutter came down a bit and wasnt fixed until we were moving out. Now its been about 2 months since i've moved and even though I've left my place more spotless then the day I got,they are holding my security deposit, even after we've contacted them and they know they owe the money, even stated to my husband when he went to see what was the hold up how much they owe us. So why havent we gotten it. I guess we will be making an appearance in court. But other then that drama it was ok, it was close to my family and I was comfortable in my own space. Just beware of your surroundings not all builds are like that...

if you lie about something that isnt true and the results harm someone ....you are to blame.....why are you lying about this apts.....i lived there for 4 years and if you name the crime ....its happened ....this is not a good,great or even proper place for adults or kids....maybe if you smoke crack....and love the countless whores wholl bother you....but not a family...

I just love it here the rent is affordable, and everything is kept up so nice.
