Apartment Reviews for Shockoe Properties - Richmond

The apartment itself is really nice and cheap considering how huge it is.
However I've had issues with the staff since the day I moved in. I brought the first load of my stuff to move in and the place was still a mess. They hadn't painted, cleaned the bathrooms or even vacuumed.

The maintenance staff is really nice, but they'll come into your apartment whenever they want without giving any kind of notice. I'm a single girl who lives alone, and I woke up to a strange man in my apartment a few days ago. Completely not cool and pretty terrifying. And then they send you an email saying it was for an "emergency repair" thinking that they can justify anything they want with that excuse.

I haven't really had many issues with the apartment itself, only on two occasions that I can think of, but when you do have a problem it is IMPOSSIBLE to get in contact with anyone from the real estate company to have maintenance sent. On both occasions I have literally called every since extension available on their selection menu, and not a single person there seems to understand how to answer a phone, or emails for that matter. The only way I got anything fixed was by going into their office and yelling at people until they stop trying to blow you off.

Overall the apartment itself is wonderful and I have hardly any problems with it, but if you're looking for good customer service, stay far far away unless you're willing to yell and threaten to get lawyers involved.
