Right from the start I knew I should not have moved in. I did my first walk-through and I could not move in because the place was filthy which I thought was crazy because I have a section 8 voucher and the Housing Authority did a walk-through first and approved the place. The walls had writing on them, refrigerator did not work properly the freezer freezes the **** out of everything but the refrigerator barely keeps things room temperature. There was also vermin inside of the refrigerator and the refrigerator door also had holes in it. Cabinet facings were partially gone. The stove is rigged and the knobs don't correspond with the eye it says it goes with and you cant cook anything on a low temperature when you have it on low the eye is blood red as if I have it on high. The bottom half of the bathroom door is missing. I couldn't understand why this place was approved but it was. I gave my complaints to the landlord and she agreed to have everything repaired in 1 week so I waited 1 more week before I moved in. It was all the time I had left on my current lease. Well time was up and I did another walk-through and the only thing they did was clean up the vermin and the writing on the walls. I was disgusted for the second time around but this time I had no choice but to move in because my lease was up and I had no place to go. I complained to the landlord again but to no avail. I am wondering how in **** did this pass the so called "strict" standards of the Housing Authority. Anyway about three weeks into living there I started having a insect bite here and there I thought it was a mosquito because it looked as if it was a mosquito bite. Pest control came by to do my scheduled spraying for vermin and I asked the pest control guy about it. I told him what the problem was and what I was experiencing and that's when I got the bad news. Come to find out its F###### BEDBUGS! I was so ****** on so many levels, because they knew they had this problem but yet they are steadily moving people in. My son came home from school one day and said a friend that also lives here told him that lots of people were moving from here because of bedbugs, now I had not yet told my children we had bedbugs because I didn't want to worry them and I was the only one being attacked at the time. I thought to myself how much of some BULL ish this was. Well since then Dodson has treated the apartment twice but the BEDBUGS are STILL HERE. I don't know what to do because I am at my whits end and as single mother of two I'm strapped for cash with no place to go. I had to throw away my mattresses and pay a sky high electric bill from laundering and bagging everything I own to control the situation. I call myself researching the place but they had no reviews so I thought it was decent and as they say no news is good news well they are wrong. I decided to write a review to help the next person before they were suckered into this place. I didn't have someone warn me before I made the mistake DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT MOVE IN TO THIS PLACE, unless you like being attacked by insects in your sleep.
