The apartments are very cute. Most have been rehababilitated with new wood-look floors. Some have laminate, others have the "stick on". The kitchens are very nice. Some units carpets are older and stained, but they will have them cleaned for you and are happy to make changes to accomodate you.
The office personnel are very friendly, calls are returned promptly, receipts provided every month and they communicate with letters to tenants frequently. The management also has some furniture items available as lease purchases. They are high quality items from stores such as Macy's. The prices are very affordable.
Behind these updated apartments, however there are older apartments in which their tenants can sometimes be a nuisance. There is a lot of foot traffic due to the Oakbrook Plaza/shopping center close by, but never anything real serious to be overly concerned about.
Most tenants are working during the day and not hanging around outside on their porches. Every complex has one or two.
Overall, I think single professionals, young couples and single parents might find this a pleasurable place to live. Everyone is very friendly, sometimes noisy :).
