Review for Shorewood Heights Apartments

These older brick-style apartment buldings with beauifully renovated interiors are located on lovely Mercer Island and offer an easy commute to downtown Seattle or Bellevue. The management is courteous, responsive to the one noise complaint I had over a year of living there, and on-site concierge services are available as well. (e.g., dry-cleaning)

This is an ideal place for a families, singles that can afford a bit pricier rent ($865 for a 1-bdrm, 850 square foot apartment in my case), opr seniors because of prooximity to downtown mercer island and weekly grocery/pet supply delivery to the complex. The apartments are outfitted in high-quality appliances and are excellently insulated for warm winters, cool summers. The grounds are green and lovely, parking is free and parking for visitors is no problem!

The only downsides would be most units have limited storage room (you can rent storage lockers typically in apartment basements if needed) and for a single person, utilities can be a bit expensive (they charge by dividing according to how many buildings are within the complex, not taking into account number of persons in each apartment.) Occasionally upon coming home late at night (12pm or later) you may spend a little time looking for parking.
