Review for Riviera Apartments

I am the manager at the Riviera and came on board January 2005. It's sad to say, but at the time, the complex did not enjoy a very good reputation. My long-term goal was to turn things around and make this a place where I was not only proud to work, but where residents would be proud to live. First order of business was to clean up - literally. This meant getting rid of the riff-raff and other nonsense that was going on. I'm not ashamed to say I had to ask several less-than-desirable residents to go elsewhere.

Secondly, we tightened up on the resident screening criteria. We make every effort to minimize potential problems by doing both a credit and background check. Now, it may is true that sometimes someone will qualifiy on paper and then turn out to be a landlord's nightmare, but I guarantee they won't live here very long. I'm a firm believer that our residents shouldn't have to put up with other people's nonsense.

Third, we take pride in maintaining our property. You will not find litter in the parking lot, nor will you find garbage scattered around dumpsters. We make every effort to keep the property clean and every unit in good repair. Our maintenance crew is friendly and knowledable.

If we get bad reviews, chances are good they are from those we've had kicked out. I won't apologize for running a tight ship. According to City of Renton crime statistics, our complex enjoys one of the lowest crime rates in Renton.

We have great residents. This is a great place to live if you are a mature adult, but not if you're immature and into loud music or partying all night with friends.

If you drive by, I agree that all the asphalt in the front isn't very appealing, but don't let that fool you. Our units are clean, safe and quiet, plus we have the Cedar River right in our backyard - which is pretty awesome.

Management makes every effort to keep this a great place to live. If that's what you're looking for, then check us out.
