I've been here 5 yrs through 4 different managers. The quality of things has gone up and down with the different managers. Overall, it's a decent, affordable place to live.
The units are small and very limited storage. But the neighbors are great, and the place reasonably kept up.

Previous managers w/ previous owner, Jim; Karen up to 2006, Sue and Sam 2006. The previous owner did clean things up to sell it and Sue got rid of alot of the riff raff, though used many discrimative manners. Sam screwed up alot of maintenance (worthless). New owner (not around) and new management team in feb. 2007, Lora is the office manager and Jeff lives here and does maintenance. It is clean on the grounds and the team are always working. Problems are not ignored. Its an old complex, if someone wants perfection they need to pay $600. These apartments are $465 and the cleanest apartment I have ever moved into. No crime here, check the police blotter!! People are quiet and so nice. I lived here in 2005 and moved when sue and sam came. I had friends that encoraged me to come back and I am content. and the complex next door is in full remodel so there will be better people. Anyway, if you want simple, this is it.

Things are great here. Management is on top of things. If you want clean and quiet this is the place. 1800 Texas ST has had a face lift and looks good. You will like it here.

This is a great find!! Affordable and cute..The manager is nice and willing to work with you.But definately has a people radar and if your lying to her, has no problem calling you on it..So if your looking for a quiet affordable place definately check it out..Also one of the last apts. that allow you to smoke if you so choose.

;;;sigh;;; after such a long few weeks of trying to find an apartment, I finally found one! Its cheap, cute and quiet. Our manager, she rocks. She is so nice and helpfull. I just moved from Colorado and its been a pain in the, "butt". She has been helping me with directions and tips for jobs and o so much. I really haven't heard much disturbances at all just a couple coming from even newer than I am neighbors. The DAY i was moving stuff in I had my next door neighbor introduce her self and everyone seems nice and friendly. Anyways If you are looking for a cheap, nice and quiet place to live, check it out.

the place was clean and given the area realitivly safe feeling. when I did evenually complain about the nois from my naibor it was dealt with quikly ( although not permenantly).

on the negitive the appartments are tiny and in my opinion not worth the amout charged a mounth. the walls seem paper thin and the appartments have no ventelation which in the winter causes all the windows to fog up from the humidity inside ( cause by the dish washer and shower mostly). this can, and in my case did lead to the growth of mold, which to their credit they cleaned up right away.

First, I have to say that the one person who rated this place, JudyB, must have lived here years ago. We've had a FEMALE manager for the past 2-3 years, and she's fantastic!

This neighborhood sucks, but Cedar Glen is clean, safe and full of good neighbors!

Our manager here is one of the BEST! She's friendly, polite to people, nice...the only time I've seen her not nice is when she's dealing with someone who's come onto property to bother others, or when she's dealing with a tenant who's being too loud and disturbing the rest of us!

I hope to always stay on her good side, which isn't difficult in my opinion. :)

When I first moved in, the manager was WORTHLESS--repair requests went unanswered, etc. He was gone more than he was around.
But in May of 2003, they got new managers in, and the whole apartment has really turned around! We've seen the followings improvements in just the last year:
1) Drug dealers kicked out left and right
2) Newer tenants coming in that are SUPER nice (I just love my neighbors!)
3) New paint all around
4) Improved landscaping
5) Noise rules ENFORCED!!!! It is quiet here almost 24/7, and if someone is too loud, we just call the manager and she takes care of it ASAP
Everyone talks about how bad Texas Street is, but let me tell you, Cedar Glen does NOT live up to the Texas Street reputation. It's a nice, AFFORDABLE place to live with people who really care about you as a tenant. Our manager makes herself available almost 24 hours a day---when office hours are over she even lets us knock on her door of her apartment (she lives on site).
What can I say? I love this place. So never mind the rumors, check it out for yourself! Maybe I'll see you as a neighbor soon!
