Apartment Review for Alpha Phase I

I do solemnly swear that everything you are about to read in this review is the absolute truth!!
This place is a DUMP, don't let the "pretty little pictures" fool you when you are looking at their website. For starters, the incompetent staff issues parking permit stickers to park in the complex, but don't have the backbone to enforce a designated parking spot for EACH unit being rented. So needless to say, chances are that you won't get a spot to park if you come home after dark, because A LOT of the people that live in that place are illegal aliens that live 3 to 4 families to a unit, or should I say 4 cars to a unit. If you do the math on that you will quickly understand why there are no parking spots available in the entire complex. If that is not enough to deter you, please allow me continue.
I work from home as a technical support agent that takes calls over the internet / phone, and I HAVE to maintain a quiet environment while on call. I can't tell you how many times that I had to get rude with obnoxious little kids that kept kicking a soccer ball off of my window while I tried to work. I asked several times nicely if they can play elsewhere and explained I'm working, but those little disrespectful useless eaters smarted off to me and just kept playing their game. This alone speaks VOLUMES for what kind of parents they have, and, oh yeah, one more thing to consider about the loving “parents” of these kids. I came home at 2AM on several occasions and one time witnessed a toddler (maybe 3yrs old) riding their tri-cycle around with no parent in sight, and other multiple times where 5 maybe 6 year old kids were out playing unsupervised. Another side note to consider if you move to The Heights at Burien, when walking out of the apartment into the breezeway (The ONLY way out of your apartment), the odor of urine will suck the air out of your lungs. The kids are OUT OF CONTROL and urinate wherever they please!!! i.e. … Hallways, doorsteps, wherever. There was several times that there were even DIRTY diapers thrown on the floor in the breezeway, as well. Do I need to explain what that smelled like?!?! Also, I got on some kids for laying and rolling across the hood of my car while it was parked in the lot!
If you are still interested in moving in, let me warn you about how thin the walls are. I could easily hear the people above my room snoring at nights, and in the living room area I could hear my neighbor’s conversation almost as clear as if they were in the same room as me. Not to mention the gun shots were rather loud too! Yes indeed, there were several occasions where shootings occurred in the year that I lived there. Literally, it was a weekly thing that the police would show up at my building because of the people that lived upstairs, and across from my unit downstairs. I can also consider myself lucky that my car was never broken into, because there were constant break-ins with glass all over the parking lot to prove it.
So when I moved out, I gave this pitiful place a 30 day notice even though I was paying month to month for rent. My lease ran out and I DID NOT WANT TO RENEW IT, so I had to pay $50 more a month, just to maintain a month to month lease. It was worth it to me until I could find a new place. However, 5 months after I move out, I am being “threatened” from a collection agency now for $1,900.00 in false charges for this place. I hired people to move my stuff out and clean all the trash out of the place. I verified all of this was done but I have to admit I am guilty of one thing, and that would be NOT vacuuming the unit. Now the criminals at The Heights at Burien are attempting to come after me for money that I DO NOT OWE THEM! They want me to replace the OLD STAINED carpet that was documented like that when I moved in. Also they felt the need to repaint the place although I didn’t put any holes in the wall, and insist on charging me an astronomical price for it! If I don’t pay, then they screw my credit up. Ladies and gentlemen, these criminals are using extortion tactics.
So beware of this place when you are looking for apartments in the Burien area. There are a lot of other places in this area that are much nicer for the same amount of money you would spend to live here. Do yourself a favor and DON’T give these lawless crooks a dime of your money. It’s a sleazy dump overrun with filthy out of control kids. Not to mention, the management is trash!
