When I first moved in I had no problems with noise, with the exception of the rare midsummer party leftovers heading home. After living here a year a new neighbor moved in and was all problems. Management was quick to fix each issue of the nasty neighbor. Jeff the manager is great, friendly and always has his door open. (not always literally though as he can usually be found roaming the grounds working on things, but feel free to approach him!) The apartments are old and crappy. Paint on everything, floors door frames light switches etc. Very old building leaves something to be desired as far as seals around the windows and esp. the doors. Which makes for high electric bills. However, on the plus side...it has air conditioning. A huge plus for someone like me who hates to be hot!! There is always always plenty of parking for you, your neighbor and all the friends you could ever fit in your apt at one time. the laundry room is in the center of the complex and is usually kept up well, and has security cameras inside. there are about 10 washers and oddly only 9 dryers. however dryer 3 has been broken for about 6-8 months and there doesnt' seem to be any intention of fixing it. When i moved in 2006 rent was reasonable at $460 a month. now that its gone up the almost $500 a month, i am planning on moving out to a place where the door doesn't form ice in the winter and there isn't paint on everything. Oh and a carpet that doesnt' have fourty years of dirt would be nice as well. Overall...the place isn't horrible, but i wouldn't make it your first choice unless you're dying for a/c!!
