Worst Management I've Ever Encountered!

The apartments themselves are not spectacular, just plain old two bedroom living areas yet it's one of the highest rental prices in town. The grounds are well kept and a nice basketball and volleyball court are there. The grounds crews are good at what they do. BUT... about a year ago they came under new management which I can only guess is comprised of former poloticians because they'll tell you what you want to hear then nickel and dime ya behind your back. We had numerous problems with the money situation. Apllication fees were piled on, rent checks were lost, and uncommon lease agreements were passed upon us in the middle of the year. You pay a $600 dollar deposit, $250 non-refundable $350 is... pretty standard right? Well what they don't tell ya is that the $250 goes to NOTHING. None is used for carpet cleaning or tuch-up painting. They say it's for management costs. Two things about that: 1) I've never lived at a place that doesn't use the none refundable for the "expected" cleaning and maintenance and 2) they are paying there management way too much. The head lady at the front office, I won't name names (colleen), is a uncoopereative, money grabbing witch with a "B" that needs to get laid, BADLEY!! So if you decide to live at either UPark or UPlace, do the rest a favor and stick the front lady!!

I worked with the manager mentioned above at a different property for about 4 years. I found her to always be fair with residents however she always enforced the lease and the worked within the guidelines set forth by the upper management team. Site level people don't set the fee's/deposits but their JOB is to enforce them and collect them as required by their supervisors. I would guess that you didn't agree with things that were in the lease and didn't understand that it is managements job to enforce the lease.
