if i were you, i wouldnt get a bottom level apartment here. apparently the floors are paper thin, cause i can sure hear the people above me at seven in the morning. when in dont get home from work and into bed until four in the morning, it is something i constantly have to put up with. and its not the tenants fault. its not like they're running around up there. they're just walking around in their room.
maintenance came into my apartment without notifying me. i called and was told that really it was my fault for not specifying if they could just enter when they pleased. it says in the lease that they have to give 48 hours of notice, however i didnt even know until i got home, and they only fixed one of the six problems i inquired about.
oh, and dont get me started on parking. i was told when i moved in that i could rent a carport. then i asked how much. i think it was like $50 a month. so i asked if there was any parking back there. the answer i recieved was, "oh yeah, there's plenty." literally, i drive around every night looking for parking. i drive once around the back and then when i cant find anything near my house.... i drive around again. on weekends, count on parking on 3rd.
the apartments are asthetically pleasing. i have a newly remodeled version and it is very nice inside. homey, if you will. the walls are a tan color and the countertops are a dark gray. the appliances are black.
oh i must not forget. i have the Preston model apartment and there is literally ONE drawer in the kitchen and it's only half a drawer. i dont know where people are supposed to put their flatware because honestly you cant even fit one of those silverware tray seperater things. there is little cupboard space if you get a full washer and dryer.
oh and another thing. when my roommate and i went looking in the model, we liked what we saw and asked for that. we were told our apt. wouldnt be ready until the day we moved in so we signed our lease and went and looked at the apartment only to find that the one we were now residing in looked nothing like the model. it was missing cupboard space, a closet in the second bedroom, and the outside closet was much smaller than in the model. when i went up to complain that we hadnt gotten what we asked for, the man told me that i shouldnt have signed the lease without seeing the apt. i told him i didnt have much of a choice and he continued to tell me that it was my fault. he said that the leasing agent should have told me that my apt came in different varieties but didnt. he also said that he would have her call me when i found out it was her who hadnt told me about the change in the apartment layout. to this day she hasnt called me.
they're nice apartments, and rather a nice price for the area, however i wont live here when my lease is up.
