They Will Screw You Over!!!!!!!!!!

They lie!!!!

First of all I lived at the village at silver for 2 years paying our rent on time every month and with out any problems. A few months back they hired new management and I started to hear complaints from every one in my building. Six months prior to the new Management, we reserved the cabaña for my bridal shower, about 4 months before I confirmed with the new management that we had in fact rented the Cabana and confirmed the time and date. They agreed and made sure it was on the calendar. We then sent out 60 invitations. Exactly two weeks prior my best friend and I went in to look and see how many chairs they had to see if we needed to bring more. The lady who monitored the cabana at night informed me that they were going to be remolding the cabana and we should call and ask Amber when they were going to start, cause she said the whole cabaña may be gutted by the date of the shower!!!!!!!! After a little panic we decided we would play it by ear, and if we absolutely had to, we could have it in our one bedroom apartment…….. The Friday before the shower we noticed plastic over the windows and went in to ask the manger Amber, if she was ever planning on letting us know they were totally remolding the cabana and that we were not going to be able to have the shower there. She proceeded to LIE to my face telling me she just found out that morning…. What contracting companies do you know that come out same day??????………… So she proceed to LIE even when I confronted her asking her how the “cabana monitor” knew all about it but she had no idea LOL. I could not believe it, how stupid did she think I was. She then told me if they were done by the shower she would call me the day before. Oh yes that is plenty of time to let 60 people know….. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE. It takes a really special person to be able to look someone in the eye like that and LIE LIE LIE. You would think if you rented the cabana 6 months ahead you would be safe, but not with this management!!!!!! They could care less and did not even have the decency to let me know. We did have my shower in our one bedroom apartment and with our sliding door open all we could head is the buzzing of the saws in the cabana!!!!!!!!

20 DAYS TO VACATE!!!!!!

May 23rd we received a notice saying we could renew our lease and that our rent would be going up $50.00 a month. We were ok with this since we are getting married this summer and did not want the stress of moving. The notice also said we would need to give our notice to move out or sign a new lease by June 10th. I went in to the office the weekend on June 1st and asked what we need to do to renew our lease. She said I needed to call and Monday and tell Amber so they could have our lease ready to sign when we came in. I left her a message Monday June 2nd. I heard nothing back so I called again and left another message on Wednesday June 4th. When I got home that day there was a 20 day to vacate notice on our door. WHAT????????? Only after we said we wanted to renew our lease did they tell us NO we have to move out because they wanted to remodel and again they could not give us a call and let us know they put an eviction notice on our door, when we had done nothing wrong. I then called the office to ask what the heck was going on, she said they decided they did not want to renew our lease and we had to move of in 20 DAYS!!!!! They did not have enough apartments to remodel, so they wanted to remodel ours. In the last 20 days we were there they had people coming in to measure for cabinets and we had not even moved out yet!!!!!

THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though we knew they were doing a complete remodel we cleaned the apartment and turned our keys in. A few weeks later we received a check for part of our deposit back $207.00. They took $99.00 to have the carpet cleaned, they said even though they were going so far to replace the kitchen cabinets, they were not replacing the carpet. The carpet was not even close to being new when I moved in. So I kept the carpet in such good condition that they were going to charge me $99.00 to clean the carpet after the remodel and before they new tenants moved in. OH YES that is fair, WHAT A JOKE………………………..

Beware they will completely screw you over in anyway they can. You will find yourself needing a lawyer by the time your lease in up. Out of all the places I have ever lived this is by far the worse. I will be filing a case with Snohomish County small claims court as a mater of principal and will be letting them know the entire background.

The Village at silver lake is a HORRIBLE place to live, remodeled or not…… THEY WILL SCREW YOU AT EVERY CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
