We spent eight months in a mold and mildew infested "Luxury" apartment (tons of air-fresheners provided tho, compliments of management). Closet doors were falling off the battered tracks. Windows were sweating. The carpet was always damp. The last month, we had something die under the floor and 60 to 80 black flies infested the apartment through bathroom vents. We were broken into, the locks on our bedroom windows were broken. Took two weeks for someone to repair, and he walked away with the lock repair job only half finished. After the flies, we requested a new apartment. The manager of The Mill took the tour of our "Luxury" dump, and though she thought it "smells fine," she let us move to a new apartment. Once in the new apartment, our upstairs neighbor began banging on our ceiling. She thought our TV was too loud. When we knocked on her door, she came out acting aggressively. We complained the next day, but this neighbor had already complained and said WE were the aggressors. The manager of The Mill told us to keep her informed of anything going on, but we were already on 10-day eviction probation for the lie our neighbor told. She began antagonizing us, stomping around methodically, letting her dogs bark wildly. We complained again and were told that we were playing games. The manager lied and told us that our complaint was served to the neighbor, but said she had no way of providing proof of that. Liar. It's the law to keep records of tenant complaints. We are now awaiting our eviction since the manager will not listen, nor will she take any measures to remedy the situation.
