Please take my advice. I have lived here for 7 years. I was so excited to have a brand new apartment never been lived in before. I thought of the new urban yuppie lifestyle and urban dream. I had that here for a while there is alot of management turn over sadly. But we did have one lady Charito for some years. Tough to clean house but lady like to help the disabled. She was always a lady to a nice lady. Jill goes with who ever her boss is. She knows better and can run an a class place but I guess after 7 years we are all tired of living together. Horrible amounts of violance drug distributions, prostitution rings, pimps, guns, just the most horrible reality slowly moved into the Heatherwood over the past 2010 year. The police said it is nothing but a transit place to live now. We have a new manager and she is really young and pretty and has a pretty brow beat mind to her that instigates Jill to be just as mean, discriminating and psychotically rude. I have to bail out of here now. Sadly my reality came with so many lude come ons from neighbors and men pimp *** men that think you need to use it in their circle. Um these people have no fear to walk up to your door and pound down the door. Luckily we have 911 police...I had to call the police 17 times in this last year. Went to the hospital almost every time suffering from severe head injuries. LIke 8 men will try to attack and rape you at the same time. Christ I am 40 and married but my husband doesn't live with me. He was just as horrified and they said they would kill him too. So take it in as it is worth oh yeah they moved in some old man named Bear everyone thinks he is a pervert cause he won't leave you alone and he has two service animal dogs that jump all over you **** everywhere in the hallways...He is really mean and abusive...trying to act like mr. nice guy so did this guy named Jr. Wells...He thinks he is a pimp on a old lady...he was rummored to try and sleep with all the woman of the heatherwood while his wife live in goes to work. He has a 4 year old daughter...He smokes and deals weed all day and no one will do anything like CPS and tell HUD cause they all buy weed from him. One of the girls in the management her 2nd boyfreind who she has A daughter with saw me once and is totally ****** off following me around being very mean and violance towards me and him, Bear, Jr., and a guy across the hallway all attacked and beat me to death in the wip it pain. I almost died. The management now is too stupid to screen in happy families. I am in the hospital now and I have no intention of ever living in the Heatherwood dream is lost and gone with me. I moved to Heatherwood in December. I think the office staff is very nice. Anytime I have a problem maintenence is out within 48 hours. The apartment is located in a nice area and huge. Yes there are kids playing in the parking lot but I haven't seen garbage laying around or vandilism anywhere. There is always free for all parking available. My neighbors upstairs were a little loud but that situation was taken care of. Maybe it depends on the section you live in....I live enar the office but I absolutely love it here!

I lived in Heatherwood Apartments since 2006 and the staff at first was nice, but when you have a problem they don't call you back and sometimes just ignore your request. I would not recommend this apartment complex. If you can find a better place I would do it!

I moved to the Heatherwood Apartments sometime in August of 2005 and since the change in management around June of 06 Ive seen significant improvements. They got rid of those lazy security guys who I never saw on the property and hired Whatcom Security Agency who are friendly, responsive, and actually seem to care. The staff seems like they are constantly being pulled in a million different directions at once however they always make time to sit and visit w/ me. I expect to see great things from management here on out. <P>

Takes a long time to get anything fixed, ghetto kids everywhere and lots and lots of cigarette smoke but hey its super cheap and looks nice with good amenities <P>

We moved here in Nov. 2005 and really like it. They changed management in Jan. 2006 but it hasn't seemed to made a difference. It's a pretty good value for this area but the rent is going up. We hope we're able to afford to continue living here for a while. Pretty quiet & very new. Our only gripe is with maintenance. They're not very friendly & they've ignored one of our requests about three times now. Other than that we're happy here. They have a great clubhouse w/a 24 hour fitness center & heated pool & spa. Great location too! <P>
