Apartment Reviews for Citywalk Apartments - Seattle

Citywalk Apartments is situated just off of North 115th Street, next to WA-99. Some of the attractions in the vicinity include the Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, Haller Lake, and the Bitter Lake Community Center. Tenants enjoy the Oak Tree Village Shopping Center, barely minutes away for shopping. Commuters can traverse around town with the numerous bus stops in the area. Reviewers have criticized the high cost of the utility bills, the constant repairs, and the apathetic management. Although residents love the available parking and the amenities are a huge plus.

Their online rent system took rent out twice one month, took over a week to refund it and made us jump through hoops to get refunds on late fees and overdrafts. Our apology for two weeks of anxiety and financial stress? One $50 gift card.

I could forgive that, but then it came time for lease renewal. We never got a written notice, we were told they were raising rent $35, but they "really value you as residence and are willing to work with you" and made an offer of $25 increase instead. Having a roommate, I couldn't accept that without discussion. When I called to accept that the "offer" was off the table. Excuse me? This was an offer? Did we suddenly stop being valuable residents? But wait... if we agree now and sign by Aug 10th, then we can get $150 off Sept rent. More discussion with the roomie ensued and oh, wait... our system is down, we can't get you a new lease until the 11th, but don't worry! If you sign within 24 hours, you'll still get the $150 off. Me electronic lease arrives and not only is there a $35 increase, but we now have a $20/mo pet rent out of the blue as well.

Does it get better? NO. We sign the lease, and get a notice that we have underpaid on rent by $150 and we're so sorry, you had to sign by the 10th.

Once I presented the email as written documentation that we were told we would still get the rent concession and indeed we have. But we're not looking forward to being a resident another year.
