Review for Muir Heights Apartments

I can't think of one reason why anyone would want to live here. The problems with this place are numerous.

For one: management is horrid. They spend our rent money on "parties" and "prizes" which no requests, wants or has the time to attend. Don't put candy bars on my door(I can't have sugar due to a medical condition! I don't want your penny candy!) Why waste money on parties off site that no one wants? Improve the buildings or grounds, instead.

Management does not respond to requests in a timely manner. If you leave a message asking them to call you back, less than 30% of the time will they actually return your call.

Over 1/2 of the units in my building and the neighboring buildings have been vacant for over 6 months. The rent rates are too high and the quality is too poor.

Management does not live on site- why would they want to live in a dump? They said they did landscaping- which involved cutting down beautiful trees (how sad!!!) and putting a few bricks down which took over 6 months to complete. It does not look like an improvement. The other landscaping involves chemical treatments on the grass that aren't safe for pets. Pets live here. If they MUST treat the lawns, they should use the GREEN treatments that are readily available in this market!

Maintenance is unreliable. I called over 6 times for the dryer that kept breaking until they finally replaced it with a new one. Then, that unit must have been refurbished or something, because it promptly broke and they had to replace it with another. Hot water intermittently works. There is never any reimbursement for inconvenience or lack of items included in the lease, such as when there is NO hot water.

The biggest reason not to live here is because I was told by an independent contractor that the unit was NOT SAFE for living conditions when the landlord repeatedly told me that it was fine and that there was NOTHING WRONG.

Rent somewhere else!!!
