Metro Investments is terrible. Bruce Field is a bait and switch artist.
I moved into his building in Bay View in 2003- he wanted me to pay extra for : Parking, wanted me to pay Heat, Electric, and water. Raises the rent EVERY YEAR. No increase in services. Snow removal? He waits til 23 hours after it starts snowing. Our parking lot was literally a bump ice rink last winter. From edge to edge, ALL ICE. His maintainence staff left my door unlocked after working in the unit on one occasion.
I moved out FINALLY in 06. The big surprise? I got my security back with 206.00 dollars in deductions. For what you ask?
WATER AND GARBAGE/RECYCLABLE removal. He snuck that into the leases in my 2nd and 3rd year. Didn't have the ethics to notify me of that along with the rent increase.
This guy is a sneaky, dirty, money grubbing scum. Just my humble opinion.
Not to mention, the windows on the apartment, were all broken. If they were closed tight, you had to use a screwdriver to open them. That's SAFE IF THERE'S A FIRE! HURRY GET A SCREWDRIVER SO WE CAN HOP OUT THE WINDOW! oh wait, the drawer with screwdrivers IS ON FIRE!
